Made For Walking- The Winter Shoe Edit

Last Friday marked the first official day of winter, and despite the 'always sunny' stigma that drives our tourists even in the colder months, 'grey' and 'wet' are the only two words I can think of that can describe the past five days. 

Nonetheless, June, July and August are my favourite months. Why? Winter dressing. Cold weather allows for freedom to experiment with texture and layering, which you just can't do when it's hot. Also because boots?! Enough said. 

And speaking of, I have put together a list of the best shoes that you NEED in you winter wardrobe this season. What's more? They are all on sale and won't break your wallet! 

I'm a complete sucker for a platform sneaker, especially in winter, as the soles are virtually impossible to wear in, (which always, always happens to me). Prada did a whole range of these, including a pair in a divine dusty rose, and a faux-fur lined black leather version (both available here!). 

These boots are a show-stopper, and I have been in love with them ever since they first hit the runway. Featuring a slim fit and classic geometric stud detailing, they are your go-to trans-seasonal piece. Pair with your everyday work outfit to take your look from office to bar. 

Now we know that I'm all about versatility, and so I was naturally drawn to these gorgeous leather loafers when they first came in about three weeks ago. Not even off the shelves yet in the Bally store, these are super current, and go with literally anything.  

MiuMiu puts a spin on the classic Chelsea boot with their trademark rhinestone heel and a coat of glitter! Another (surprisingly) versatile style that I will never get enough of this season. These will add sparkle to any look, just add your favourite piece of silver jewellery and you're set! 

 

Because sometimes, your trusty white sneakers just won't do! This is what I meant when I was talking about experimentation with texture; these eye-catching, berber fleece sneakers are super comfortable and one of a kind!

There is no doubt that the pointed toe kitten heel is a timeless and classic style, and these are no exception to the rule. Lerre makes fantastic shoes, all with great quality, long-lasting Italian leather, and these ones come in heaps of other colours!
